1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Grind Mode ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. Grind Mode is operated by VC Digital Media.
2. Description of Service
Grind Mode is a study consistency app designed for Filipino board exam reviewees. The App provides:
- Study session timers (Pomodoro and mock exam modes)
- Daily study plan generation based on research-backed methods
- Streak tracking and consistency monitoring
- Subject balance tracking based on PRC syllabus
- Exam countdown with phase-based scheduling
- Study journal and progress statistics
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Free Trial
Grind Mode offers a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
3.2 Subscription Plans
- Weekly: ₱49/week
- Monthly: ₱149/month
- Review Period: ₱499/4 months (best value)
3.3 Billing
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
3.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4. User Responsibilities
By using Grind Mode, you agree to:
- Use the App for lawful purposes only
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Not use the App to distribute harmful content
- Maintain the security of your device
5. Disclaimer
Grind Mode is a study productivity tool. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any board exam, licensure examination, or certification test. Exam results depend on many factors including the quality and accuracy of your study materials, your individual learning ability, and the specific exam requirements.
The PRC syllabus topics provided in the App are for reference purposes only. Always verify with the official PRC syllabus and your review center for the most current exam coverage.
6. Study Methods
The study techniques recommended by Grind Mode (Feynman Technique, Active Recall, Interleaving, Spaced Repetition) are based on published academic research. However, the effectiveness of these methods may vary per individual. The App's study plans and recommendations are generated algorithmically and should be used as guides, not as substitutes for professional academic advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code within Grind Mode are the property of VC Digital Media. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All study data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all your data, including study sessions, streaks, and journal entries.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, VC Digital Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated terms within the App and on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
