A digital chapel
in your pocket.
Kandila is a hyper-local Filipino Catholic prayer app — designed Android-first for older users (Nanays, Lolas, Tatays) who want a sacred, calm, readable place to pray with their barangay.
Closed testing in progress.
Kandila is currently being tested with a small group of Filipino Catholic families. Public launch on Google Play is coming soon.

Five quiet ways to pray
with your neighbors.
Kandila is built around five small daily practices — each one designed to feel sacred and calm, never gamified.
Barangay Prayer Wall
See only prayers from your selected barangay. Tap Light a Candle to pray with a neighbor. Prayers gently expire after 24 hours.
Guided Gospel
Today's Gospel verse with a 7-step reflection: Invoke, Read, Silence, Pick a Word, Journal, Mission, Amen. Paced for stillness, not streaks.
Daily Rosary at 8 PM
Every evening at 8 PM Manila time, the whole community prays the Rosary together. RSVP earlier in the day, get a quiet ping at 7:50 PM.
Daily Micro Mission
One small good deed per day. Tap "I'm done" and a virtual candle is lit alongside the rest of your community.
Offerings
A quiet spiritual journal: candles lit, reflections completed, missions done, rosaries prayed. No streaks, no leaderboards, no failure states.
Simple Onboarding
Welcome → Province / City / Barangay → optional large-text mode → 3 calm tour cards. Designed for first-time smartphone users.
Built for Filipino Catholics who want a calm place to pray.
Older Filipino Catholics
Nanays, Lolas, and Tatays who want a sacred, readable place to pray — without social-media noise.
Barangay communities
Neighbors who want to pray for and with each other — locally, not globally.
Filipino families abroad (OFWs)
Pray the Rosary at 8 PM Manila with the family back home, no matter the time zone.
Anyone seeking stillness
No streaks, no leaderboards, no failure states. Just a candle, a Gospel, and your community.
Optimized for stillness — not engagement.
Most prayer apps optimize for daily-active-users. Kandila is the opposite — it's a chapel that happens to be on your phone, where the whole community is praying together.
No streaks, no leaderboards
Your reflections, candles, and good works are tallied as quiet offerings — not metrics.
Built for Filipino elders
17pt minimum body text, large-text mode at 1.25×, AAA contrast, big tap targets, native place names like "Brgy. San Roque".
Hyper-local prayer wall
Prayers from your own barangay only — not the whole internet. Your community, not a feed.
Communal Rosary at 8 PM
Every Filipino user praying the same Rosary at the same time, every night. A Lola in Pampanga and a Tatay in Cebu lighting the same candle.
Free, supported by quiet ads
Native cards in low-friction places — never inside the Gospel reflection, never on top of a prayer. Revenue keeps the app free for every Lola.
Pastel Chapel UI
Soft cream backgrounds, gold candle-light halos, big readable serif type for scripture. Cute and sacred, never childish.
A small digital chapel,
in your pocket.
